More than 1000 items and growing. Michigan Lightning Protection's extensive product line includes everything necessary to protect structures of all types from the destructive effects of lightning. Air terminals, conductors, fasteners, connectors, grounding equipment, surge suppression and decorative items are just some of the products we manufacture and distribute. In addition to our standard product line, we routinely manufacture custom parts for use in specific applications. Quality Assurance All products of Michigan Lightning Protection are listed and labeled for the Underwriters Laboratory's (UL)Master Label Program for lightning protection. UL representatives visit out factory on a regular basis to inspect and test out products for compliance with UL's stringent requirements. Michigan Lightning Protection's products also meet or exceed the requirements or lightning protection, established by the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA).

Our Product Line Includes:

Conductors Our custom built cable braiding machines produce millions of feet of lightning protection conductors each year. Conductors are available in aluminum, copper, tinned copper or leaded. In addition to a full line of Class I and Class II lightning protections conductors, we carry concentrically wound grounding wire for direct burial, solid rod and flat conductor. All conductor is UL listed.

Air Terminals Michigan Lightning Protection's rooftop air terminals feature state-of-the-art design and geometry. Terminals are available tapered or round tipped in copper, aluminum, tinned, or nickel plated. We offer a wide variety of air terminal assemblies for use with all sorts of roofing systems and configurations.

Connectors and Fittings Solid bronze and aluminum castings are manufactured on-site in a foundry dedicated exclusively to the production of highly conductive castings for lightning protection systems. Designed with ease of installation in mind our fittings are simple to use, long lasting and comply fully with size, strength and materials requirements of UL and NFPA.

Grounding Equipment Grounding products include an array of clamps and connectors for joining rods and conductors in various applications. We carry a full-line of copper clad ground rods for direct burial as well as stainless steel ground rods, copper ground plates, grounding mats, signal reference grids, busbars, ground test wells, chemical grounds and computer pedestal clamps. Specialty and custom grounding products are also available.

Lightning Arrestors and Surge Suppressors Our line of lightning arrestors includes everything from simple hardwired residential panel protectors to sophisticated industrial electrical protection devices. Our transient voltage surge suppression line is an impressive array of products that protect individual pieces of sensitive electronic equipment from electrical surges. Products include electrical protection, modem and telephone protection and coaxial protection.

Decorative Finials and Glass Balls Michigan Lightning Protection's exclusive line of elegant, decorative and functional air terminals. Finials are available in red bronze or aluminum and can also be tin plated. Whether used simply as decoration or incorporated into a lightning protection system, our decorative finials add a special touch to fine homes, historic buildings and structures that are deserving of something out of the ordinary. We also carry a line of reproduction antique decorative glass lightning rod balls in cobalt blue, ruby red, milk white, and emerald green.
